Since my last post i have opened up the Leicestershire Ancestors Facebook page and also the Warwickshire Ancestors Facebook Page. I need to get up to 30 likes very soon so i can get insights into how people look at my posts which will hopefully make it more interesting for anyone that visits.
Please like my page if you can! Intriguing entry found whilst organising the list of the Leicestershire Rgt Fallen during the Great War... here it is.CLIFF,Private,A,17171,WOBURN ABBEY CEMETERY mmmm i wonder what is the story behind this?
Any thoughts or can you solve the mystery? Our photo tips page has been updated, have you any clues, tips etc that you could share with us on Leicestershire Ancestors?
Our Leicestershire Ancestor Form has been added today! If you need any help please post your questions, surname help requests in fact anything to do with family history that one of our members can help you with!
Every time that you answer a question relating to family history more questions invariably appear. The jigsaw piece that you have just added connects to yet another! This is what makes family history so fascinating but very frustrating!
Moving along more clearly now, less obstacles in the way and a clearer picture of what lies ahead.
There are many ways to arrive at a solution, but it is not always obvious which way is the correct way! Hindsight is a wonderful thing! Things have picked up slightly, pages starting to take shape.Information is being added and things are hunky dory!
Starting the very important timeline which i will be looking for lots of input to! Welcome to my blog! The aim is to give as much information as possible to anyone that is researching their family history / local history in Leicestershire and Rutland. To collate as much knowledge as possible through contributions, articles, book quotes and web-links to make that journey as pain free as possible! (
